Acupressure massage therapy: The purpose of acupressure is to stimulate the body's own recuperative powers, diffusing toxic build-up that accumulates within tense, tight muscles, while helping fight illness and restore harmoy. Gentle pressure is applied along specific points on the body to enhance the flow of vital energy, or Qi ("chi"), and activating the body's innate recuperative energies.
Swedish: The goal is relaxing the entire body, accomplished by gentle kneading of the muscles with long gliding strokes. Swedish massage is exceptional for easing painful, tense muscles, decreasing muscle toxins, and providing improved circulation and flexibility.
Shiatsu: This form of massage helps calm an overactive sympathetic nervous system, improve circulation, relieve stiff muscles, and alleviate stress. Shiatsu is a Japanese form of bodywork that applies pressure using the fingers, thumbs, and/or palms in a continuous rhythmic sequence.
Deep Tissue: Deep tissue massage is similar to Swedish, but focuses on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia, targeting knots and releasing chronic muscle tension. Its vital therapeutic benefits include reducing inflammation and helping to eliminate scar tissue.
Thai Yoga Massage: This type of massage helps release tension. By allowing energy to flow more freely, the massage works to alleviate problematic conditions such as lower back pain, arthritis, headaches, digestive difficulties, menstrual problems, and stress-related conditions. This treatment also restores balance and creates a deep state of relaxation and well-being.
